Things You Can Expect From a Full-Service Wedding Planner
Wedding planning is one of the most important and exciting events
in a person’s life, but it can also be incredibly overwhelming. There
are so many details to take care of and decisions to make that it can
be challenging to know where to start.
Many couples work with a wedding planner to help them navigate
their special day. But not all wedding planners are created equal.
Some offer partial planning services, while others provide full-service
planning. And some, like me, offer a mix of the two.
So, what’s the difference between these services? Which one is right
for you? And what can you expect from a full-service experience?
I’ve explained everything in this post, so keep reading!
What’s the Difference Between Partial and Full-Service Wedding Planning?
The main difference between partial and full-service planning is the
amount of time invested by the client.
Partial planning requires a more hands-on approach. Clients who
choose this service typically like to do their own research, find the
best deals and enjoy problem-solving. They only want or need a little
guidance through the process, or they may have most of the event
already planned.
Full planning is done-for-you service ideal for anyone short on time.
Clients who choose full-service value a professional’s expertise, problem-solving
skills, and ability to think ahead to the what-ifs. Because of their limited
time, they need someone who can cut through the noise, give options,
and present solutions instead of problems.
Do I Need a Partial or Full-Service Wedding Planner?
If you’re on the fence about which service is a better fit, think
about your daily life. How is your day constructed?
If your day starts at 5 am and is non-stop until 8 pm, realistically,
you need a full-service planner. Wedding planning takes a lot of
bandwidth. So, even if you can squeeze in some free time, will you
have the energy?
Most couples, even those with more time, benefit from full-service
wedding planning simply because it’s too easy to drop the ball or
miss an imperative detail. You have to dedicate time and know how
to put all the pieces together.
So ask yourself: Can you give planning the attention it deserves? At
the end of this, will you walk into that room and feel like everything
that needed to get done got done the way you expected? If you can’t
confidently answer “Yes!” then you need full-service planning.
Ultimately, the choice between partial and full-service wedding
planning will depend on your personal preferences, budget, and
the level of support you need. Whether you choose partial or
full-service, working with a wedding planner can take stress out
of the process and ensure that your day is everything you’ve dreamed
of.
What Can I Expect To Receive From Full-Service Planning?
My full-service packages range from basic full-service to weekend
management. The specific services you receive depend on the package
you choose, but here are some major features:
Bi-monthly Planning Meetings: We’ll find a time that works within
your schedule, then meet to discuss everything wedding.
Venue Tours: I’ll tour the venues you’re looking at for the welcome
event, wedding, after-wedding brunch, and other related events.
Event Management: Depending on your selected package, I’ll manage
your wedding events, including the rehearsal dinner and brunch.
Invitation Suite Management: I’ll go to your stationer (when possible)
or receive the delivery, assemble, mail out, and track RSVPs. All you have
to do is ensure the name and address information are correct.
Construct and Manage Budget: I won’t tell you how to spend your
money. Instead, I’ll help you build and maintain a financial plan that
gets you the wedding you want at a price you can afford.
3D Floorplan Rendering: Get an idea of what your setup will look
like on the big day.
Welcome Bags: If you decide you want welcome bags, I’ll assemble
and deliver them to your hotel blocks.
Unlimited Emails, Texts, and Calls: Feel free to email or text me.
If you’d like to hop on a call, we’ll schedule a meeting time
(due to time zone differences).
Vendor Management: From the venue to the churro cart, there’s
no cap on how many vendors I’ll take under my wing.
Team Communication: I’ll track where we’re at in the process and
ensure we’re on the same page regarding the wedding details,
timelines, payments, etc.
Final Venue Walkthrough: 30-60 days out, I’ll walk through your
venue for a final details check before the big day.
Wedding-day Management: I’ll be the first person at your venue
and the last person you hug at the end of the night.
As a full-service wedding planner, I pretty much do all the things.
I’m there for you from start to finish, taking care of all the vendors,
answering your questions, handling your concerns, building, constructing,
designing, and saving you a ton of white space on your to-do list.
Which Path Will You Choose?
Partial planning is perfect if you want to be more hands-on
and tackle tasks on your own.
But if wedding planning feels like one more thing on your
never-ending to-do list (and you’d love to know how to get
it done), full-service planning is your superhero.
No matter which way you go, the process is much easier with
a wedding planner by your side. I’ll help you navigate the details,
put a plan in place, and save you the stress of figuring everything
out on your own.
