Emily & Houston @ La Cantera
A Southern Soiree
When a Texas girl falls for a Louisiana boy, where do they get married? Texas of course! With one condition, that they pay homage to the groom’s New Orleans roots. Emily and Houston’s June wedding nailed it.
Emily and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting pampered by Vanity Eiland, while Houston and his groomsmen teed off at Top Golf. That afternoon, guests assembled to watch the beaming bride and groom exchange their vows at La Cantera Resort, in front of a 7 ft cross created by the bride’s uncle. It was just one of the many elements of their faith, love for their families, and their journey as a couple that could been seen throughout their wedding.
After the ceremony, guests were treated to the melodious sounds of Monte Vista Strings as Honey Gem Creative captured sweet moments between the bride and groom. Upon entering La Cantera’s Ballroom, guests were enthralled with Emily and Houston’s vision of classic romance. The floral pieces created by The Heirloom Table were bursting with pale pinks, creams, and greens. An added touch was the handwritten magnolia leaf that greeted guests at their seats.
Once dinner was over, it was time to turn the party over to the band Memphis Train Revue. They rocked the house and kept the dance floor packed all night long. At the stroke of midnight, guests escorted Emily and Houston to their villa surrounded by the glow of sparklers. No one could believe this magical night was truly over.
