Alana & Kevin @ Ivy Hall
Do you believe in love at first sight? Alana and Kevin’s story started the moment she laid eyes on him at Lion & Rose. When she saw him, she just knew she had to meet him, and sweettalked the hostess into sitting him in her section. Kevin was instantly smitten, and quickly became a regular just to spend more time with her. If your heart isn’t already melting their shared love for rescue animals will totally do the trick.
On their wedding day, Alana and Kevin wanted to create a laidback, family style event that reflected her Hawaiian heritage, their unique flair, and their shared love for animals. They started the day by taking some time for just the two of them during their First Look photos. Meanwhile, their guests arrived at Monty + Ivy Hall for cocktail hour, where they were greeted with the mouthwatering aroma of paella. After catching up with their family and friends, Alana and Kevin pledged to love one another forever during their intimate ceremony. In honor of Alana’s Hawaiian heritage, she wore a Haku Lei and Kevin wore a traditional Maile Lei.
During dinner, guests were treated to the delectable menu provided by Paella, Tapas, and More. You know the food’s good when most of the guests go back for seconds. As dinner was winding down, the rhythmic thump of drum beats signaled the approach of that evenings special entertainment. Guests were instantly enthralled by the dynamic performance of the SA Lion Dancers Association. Through this ceremonial dance the couple’s union was blessed with both luck and wealth, another of Alana’s Hawaiian traditions.
Now that the dance party was officially in motion, Lumen Events kept the crowd moving to Alana and Kevin’s favorite tunes. Thank goodness Jessica Elle Photography was there to capture these cherished moments.
